Speeding
I am constantly concerned that many people use the backroads of Wealden as if they were on the Monaco Grand Prix. We have seen several nasty crashes in the area and it will not be long before there is another fatal accident. Our county council has the ability to amend speed limits and I think there are various points – especially through villages – where a lower speed could prevent further incidents occurring. I will continue to monitor the area’s blackspots and investigate whether it is viable to push for lower speeds in these locations.
